"With the help of Jonathan's manager I managed to arrange the surprise of a lifetime for my daughter's 18th birthday. Since Kathryn was 18 months old she started to go deaf and for the next 15 years of her life she was in and out of hospital and had 14 operations. Through it all she has stayed bright and cheerful and because she has had to spend a lot of time in bed on of her all time favourite musicals has been GREASE. So when I found out the it was coming to Bournemouth and had Jonathan as the lead, I set about trying to arrange something special. I managed to arrange a meeting with Jonathan before the afternoon show and he was a perfect gentleman. He took us all around the back stage, introduced us to most of the cast and chatted freely with us both. Kathryn however was so taken aback at the surprise she started to cry and was unable to speak for a while. I would like to say a big thank you to Jonathan for everything he did that day, the show was brilliant and we hope to see him again in Bournemouth in whatever show he does next. Kathryn is still on cloud 9 and will remember that day forever."
