Part 8 - March 2005 Are
you superstitious about anything? Jonathan: "Yes, magpies. There's a thing called 'One for sorrow, two for joy'. If I see one I don't like it, I need to see two and I say 'Good morning mr. Magpie', every time I see them." Hi
Jonathan! How did you prepare for Tommy and did
you watch the film? Jonathan: "I didn't watch the film, cos I've always been put off it. I always listen to the cd, which I've always loved. I prepared by just singing the songs really, and just knowing the story anyway and reading through the script."
Hey
Jonny, what did you think was the funniest clip
on You've been Framed and why? Jonathan: "My favourite clip is the one called 'Fairground boy'. There was either a boy or a girl and she was in a fairground ride and she thought she was getting out of it and she was screaming for dear life! And my other favourite is everyone's favourite - the old woman speaking into the camera." Do
you like cooking? Jonathan: "I don't dislike it, but I prefer it being cooked for me. I don't like eating my own cooking. It's not bad, it's just when you cook it, you don't want to eat it." Yo
Stokie! We're really proud of you, what makes you
feel proud? Jonathan: "Hiya Stokie! What makes me feel proud? Successful stories from other people." Hey
Jonny! Imagine you had the chance to talk to
Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain or James Dean, who
would you choose and why? Jonathan: "James Dean, cos a lot of people say I look a bit like him, so I can say: 'I look like you!' (laughs out loudly!). He's one of the coolest, charismatic people there has ever been." I
play the piano in bar 'Epernay' in Birmingham. If
you came in, what would you like to hear? Jonathan: "James Taylor songs; 'Fire & Rain' and 'Caroline in my mind'." Hi
Jonny! In the last Q&A you rated Oslo as one
of the 3 cities you liked best. I was wondering
why that is and what you like about it. Jonathan: "Friendliness, they're so lovely and friendly in Oslo. As well as they are in Denmark and all over Scandinavia and Germany to be honest. People are really friendly. It's a different kind of nice-ness they have over there from what we have."
Hey
Jonny! What character from an Andrew Lloyd Webber
musical would you like to play? Jonathan: "I'd love to play the Phantom in 'Phantom of the opera' one day. That would be a great role to play, but not for another few years yet." Can
you do any sign language? Jonathan: (signs something)..."That means thank you." (holds up one finger)..."That means one!" (holds up 2 fingers)..."That means 2!" Could
you tell me the name of your favourite sound
engineer? You must have worked with so many.
Which one do you think is the best? Jonathan: "Chris Duncan!" Is
there anything you turned down and later
regretted not doing? Jonathan: "That's a good question. I can honestly say I don't think I have. I hope I haven't. Every choice I've made has gone quite well." Why
don't you have a pet snake? Jonathan: "Cos I don't like snakes." I
saw in my local newspaper Ant & Dec went to
see Tommy. Did they enjoy the show? Jonathan: "They loved it actually. Ant is not a great lover of musicals and I have to drag him to every one and he actually said that this is his favourite one he's ever seen me in. So that was nice." When
were you last hung-over? Jonathan: "Do you know what? I can't remember." I
listened to you and Robbie on BRMB. Did you
manage to stop him riding his bike in the rain? Jonathan: "No, it's an on-going thing with me and Rob at the moment. He wants to ride bikes and I don't agree. I think he'll end up killing himself. He's mad!" Are
you ticklish? Jonathan:
"Yes, I hate my feet being tickled. HATE it!" |
