Q&A part 10 - November 2005

Which actor or actress would you most like to perform with and why?
Kirsty from Melbourne

Jonathan: "Melbourne in Australia?! G'day mate! Actor-wise, I'm a Brad Pitt fan, but I'm a Johnny Depp fan as well, he's very charismatic. I'm not gay, but I do fancy Brad Pitt. Woman-wise, I like Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman."

Hey there! Did the time when Robbie went through a bad stage change your views on life?
Maxim from Virgin Islands

Jonathan: "It makes you grow up, that's what it did to me. When you see your friend going through a bad time, you instantly want to be there for support. People ask me if I regret 'wasting my time', but not at all. Rob's been there just as much for me as I've been for him and that's what best mates do. You learn from mistakes and I learnt a lot from Rob and his mistakes, and he's learnt a lot from my mistakes. You help each other out and that's what we did."

Will you be having any more cd singles out? I loved your last one!
Melissa from Hartlepool

Jonathan: "I don't know at the moment, as I said, I'm going to do an album in the next year or so, that will be the next adventure."

Can you sleep when someone next to you is snoring?
Nora from Austria

Jonathan: "No! I'm terrible, I got into this habit of putting cotton wool into my ears as well when I sleep. I don't know why...Nikki snores terribly! You wouldn't believe such a little thing like that could snore!"

Have you been to Australia and if not, would you like to?
Debra from Australia

Jonathan: "It's one place I'm desperate to go to. I haven't been yet, only because I've just not had time. I'm going to make time and go very soon. I have some friends in Australia - Daniel MacPherson - and I've been desperate to go and see him and his family. I'm really looking forward to Australia."

We all know you 'start off at Stringy's then maybe Groucho's', but where is your favourite night out in London?
Jessica from London

Jonathan: "I don't go out in London! I go out in my local area, but the Met Bar and all that just looks like hard work! So I don't do any of that. It's one of those things; if you want press and you want to get attention, you can go and get it for all the wrong reasons, but I'm very happy in the local pub."

My school prom is coming up, did you have a good school prom if you had one?
Rachel from Newbury

Jonathan: "We didn't have a school prom! I get really jealous of people who do have school proms, as I think they're great! Everybody gets dressed up and they all hire limousines and it seems like a real good time. Like in America, they're a big deal. We just had a little disco with pineapple and cheese on a stick and that was it! Rubbish! I'd love a prom!"

How do you relax before a show?
Annette from Coventry

Jonathan: "I don't, I never relax before a show actually, I'm always running around. If I relax too much, I get on stage too tired and too lethargic, so I'd like to be up all the time really."

Do you have a middle name?
Yannica from Germany

Jonathan: "Yes. Graham."

Can you play anything on the piano?
Mandy from Bradford

Jonathan: "No, I'm useless! And I've got piano fingers as well; I've got long fingers. I have fingers like my mum's - I've got lady fingers! I wish I could say I could, but I can't, I'm rubbish."

Do you believe in UFOs and aliens?
Natalie from Swindon

Jonathan: "No, but Robbie does and apparently the best place to sight them is in Swindon, where you're from. I know this, because my wife is from Swindon. I'm looking forward to the war of the worlds put it that way."

Jonny, I love you! What would you say to a fan like me who is scared of balloons?
Hannah from Wales

Jonathan: "Do you really though? Or are you just saying you love me? Because love is a very strong thing. They are not just words! Go and visit a crocodile, put your head in front of it and see what you're more scared of: the crocodile or a balloon. I guarantee you, you'll be more scared of the crocodile. That's a weird phobia!"

How old were you when you passed your driving test and was it your first attempt?
Sue from West Cross

Jonathan: "I think I was 19 and yes I passed first time - thank you very much!"

Hi Jonny! Are you interested in Formula 1 and if so, which team and driver do you support?
Juliane from Germany

Jonathan: "I don't really care about Formula 1 to be honest. It's all about the car now, instead of the racers. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great sport. I know Jenson Button, so I support him really."

What music do you have on your stereo at the minute?
Kevin from Newcastle

Jonathan: "Elton John at the moment, James Taylor and U2."

What's the strangest job offer you've ever received?
Michelle from Stevenage

Jonathan: "I got offered one the other day...Celebrity Reps. Where they take 6 celebrities over to Magaluf and you've got to be reps. I couldn't think of anything worse, but I'm sure they'll find somebody to do it. I'm sure Fran Cosgrave will do it..."

What do you have in your pockets right now?
Kirsty from Ashton

Jonathan: "Nothing. Normally I have my mobile phone and my wallet in my pocket."

Can you do any impressions?
Sally from Leeds

Jonathan: "You haven't got long enough! I can do everyone!"

What's the strangest place you've ever been sick?
Shelley from Banbury

Jonathan: "God you lot are weird! The strangest place I've ever been sick, apart from out of my nose...in Southend during Rocky. The had to have two buckets in the wings, for me to be sick in. That was nice. When I was singing 'I'm going home', a bit of carrot came out of my nose (laughs out loud!)"
